The principle of campaign templates
SOAP campaigns can only be used through the API.
To access the management of campaigns handled by the SOAP connector, click the “API” button in the top menu bar on the home page.
Just like regular campaigns, you can create a new campaign, set its parameters, run anti-spam tests and send tests (BAT). Personalization options are available. The campaign identifier shown next to each campaign lets you target it in your scripts.
Once messages have been sent from a campaign managed via the API, it can no longer be deleted.
Campaign statistics and the enriched file (emails, original fields and extra fields: who opened, who clicked, etc.) are available through the interface.
These campaigns are used to send messages “on the fly” from other applications or websites. The message is predefined but can contain variables that will be replaced by the values provided when calling the send function (just like a classic campaign).
Examples of use:
- subscription confirmation to a service (e.g. newsletter, …)
- viral marketing (e.g. follow-up, send the page to a friend, …)
- credentials retrieval for service access (e.g. forgotten password)
- more generally, most emails that can be sent automatically from a website
